ACC Test Registration Begins   4Q 2008

GF-5 tests are made official

Once ASTM Test Acceptance occurs, the American Chemistry Council(ACC) will consider test registration.

An ILSAC GF-5 license and authorization to use the API Starburst is granted under the API  Engine Oil Licensing and Certification System (API EOLCS) to Oil marketers whose applications are based on engine test results from ACC registered tests.

The most recent ILSAC/OIL timeline shows the first registered tests starting late in 2008.
