Current progress

Development of the tests to be used for the ILSAC GF-5 category is underway.  These activities involve developing the engine and bench tests to be used to evaluate oils against the requirements of the ILSAC GF-5 performance specification.


Especially important to the GF-5 specification is the development of the Sequence VID Fuel Economy Test.  This development is being handled through a consortium established by ILSAC/OIL.
