New York Attorney General's office and Xcel Energy Agree to Warn Investors of Global Warming Risks

In a deal with the New York Attorney General's office, Xcel Energy, of Minneapolis, has agreed to provide warnings to investors if a business has global warming risks.  This is the first U.S. order on the topic although shareholder activists have argued for years that the financial condition of a company like Xcel cannot be accurately reported if climate change risk is not discussed.  To read the New York Times article on this, click here.
