Next Meeting
Current Engine Test Availability Issues
It was noted that all of the presently proposed GF-5 engine tests are facing challenges. Seq IIIG is being evaluated for piston deposit severity. Most labs are having difficulty calibrating stands for Seq IVA wear due to a mild trend. Seq VG fuel will run out in 1H09. A new batch is being qualified. Seq VIB is being replaced by VID. Seq VIII bearings are being replaced by a new batch.
The next ILSAC/OIL call will be held on 2 Mar 09 at 1100 to discuss the Official ILSAC GF-5 Timeline in detail.
