Summary Report ASTM PCEOCP VID Matrix Design and Funding Subgroup Meeting

A meeting of the ASTM PCEOCP VID Matrix Design and Funding Subgroup was held on March 19th. The Subgroup recommends to the PCEOCP Committee how the Precision Matrix for the Sequence VID should be run and how the costs should be shared. The results of the meeting are summarized below.
The VID Matrix Design and Funding Subgroup finalized the wording for the Precision Matrix design scope of work as follows:
- The primary goal is to establish Sequence VID test precision
- The secondary goal is to establish base oil interchange and viscosity grade read-across guidelines
Once the Subgroup has established a design the cost of the matrix can be determined and funding will be requested from involved parties (ILSAC/API /ACC).
